ABOUT
The classic Old Testament story of Joseph is retold in the exuberant times and music of the 50’s. It’s surfer beats, leather jackets, and surfboards, but the gospel truth remains the same … trust the Lord with all your heart.

This St. Mark Summer Youth Musical Camp production will be an entertaining, short show (approximately 45 minutes). It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to become more familiar with the Bible while having a great time putting together a performance to share with their families and friends!

The St. Mark Summer Youth Musical is open to youth in grades 5-10 this year. There are 19 speaking roles, with plenty of room for additional participants in the chorus. Auditions are primarily geared towards placing children in the roles best suited to them.

SCHEDULE
Auditons (choose one):
Saturday, May 6: 1-2PM
Saturday, May 13: 1-2PM

Music Practice Sessions (choose at least one):
(All participants must attend at least one music practice; encouraged to come to more)
Saturday, May 27: 1-2PM
Saturday, June 3: 11-12PM
Thursday, June 8: 4-5PM
Camp Week:
Monday, June 12th through Friday, June 16th: 9:00AM-1PM (9:00-2:00PM on 6/16)
Dress Rehearsal:
Friday, June 16: 12:30-2PM
Performance:
Friday, June 16: 6:30PM - Call Time at 6pm
(reception to follow)
FEES
• $65 for first child, $55 for each sibling
• Fees include t-shirt, score, musical recordings, and additional production costs (including costumes, sets, and props)

EXPECTATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS
Hours:
- An hour for music practice before Camp Week
- 4 hours per day, for 5 days, during Camp Week
- Additional 1 hour for dress rehearsal on 6/16
- 30 minutes to warm up for the show
Duties:
- Attend all required practices, on time and prepared
- Memorize your songs and lines at home before Camp Week begins
- Come to Camp prepared to work hard and have fun!

CAMP WEEK DETAILS
- We will take one short break and a 30 minute lunch break during camp days
- Please bring water, a snack, and a bagged lunch for each day of Camp Week
- Please wear sunscreen each day of Camp Week.
- Electronic devices must be turned off or kept in bags/backpacks/purses (etc.) during rehearsal times.
